Pauline Phoon

Barking Riverside Resident since 2012

Steering Group Member of Thames Ward Community Project and Member of the TWCP Housing & Growth Citizen Action Group

Pauline is a full-time mum volunteering for many causes and also a committee member of the Barking Reach Residents Association. She has a wealth of experience, working as a Quality Assurance Officer and System Support specialising in technology in the retail industry, supporting her customers in her past experience, hence the understanding of the importance of listening, advising and supporting residents for a better community.

She is passionate about her local area and has helped plan and organise regular residents’ meetings and large public meetings between residents, local councillors and the private sector partners. She has also helped supporting residents by directing them and their queries to the right stakeholders. Pauline understands the needs of residents well and encourages them to get involved in TWCP.

Pauline’s goal for Thames Ward is for it to be clean, safe, healthy and vibrant where residents can express their opinions on how to improve the area with opportunities for them to be actively involved as the estate grows. She hopes to build a resident movement, researching for better opportunities and improvement for the area.
