Thursday 13th June 2019 at 7.30 pm at the Rivergate Centre, Minter Road, Barking IG11 0FJ and is open to all residents.
Following the recent fire and displacement of residents from their housing an emergency meeting has been organised by Barking Reach Residents Association to plan a campaign for fire safety.
The items for discussion: immediate and ongoing safety issues
The agenda of the meeting will respond to the pressing needs that have both preexisted and arisen including to secure permanent housing for displaced residents, call for the immediate removal of all cladding on the whole estate and replacement of balconies with brick and concrete structures. It will also review current safety measures on other buildings on the estate and ensure new fire safety checks are carried out in the light of what has happened and call for the release of existing fire safety assessments.
