Anusha is a chartered civil and environmental engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. She is currently Director, Resilient Cities at Arcadis, and previously the Founder & CEO of Plan for Earth, a consultancy providing advisory services on climate change adaptation and resilience. Anusha recently completed a 3 year tenure heading the board of Thames Estuary Partnership, a leading charity providing a framework for sustainable management of the River Thames. She has over 20 years of experience in managing and leading multidisciplinary engineering and environmental projects in the UK and internationally.

She is a thought leader, speaker, panellist and a passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion and fairness. Anusha is passionate about seeing women at the forefront of leading on solving global challenges such as climate change and water scarcity. She particularly enjoys mentoring girls and is keen to see more take STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) subjects. Her recent appointment as a Visiting Professor at King’s College, London will see her inspire the next generation on climate resilience, sustainability and inclusive design.

Anusha’s goal for Thames Ward is to create a social business that improves the many local green and blue spaces through the creation of a ‘Ward-Wide’ Green and Blue Spaces Strategy.
