Matt has worked in the Voluntary and Community Sector all of his working life, in the North East, the East Midlands and since the late 1990s in London. He also does a bit of teaching at London Metropolitan University.
Matt is responsible for the overall day-to-day management and coordination of the project, ensuring that activities are delivered on time and within budget, and that targets are met. He also manages the project budget and is responsible for preparing and presenting reports and financial records to funders as well as identifying future funding and income sources. As part of this duty Matt is also tasked with developing a comprehensive monitoring framework which enables the project to provide regular progress reports to partners, the steering committee and funders, and enables the project to apply learning as the work develops.
A major part of Matt’s role is to act as an ambassador for the project, ensuring that learning and good practice is disseminated across partners and wider stakeholders and that alliances are formed. Matt will develop strong working relationships with key partner organisations and lead the feasibility study and work to establish a new Community Development Trust.
